The Lodge at Sunspot is a mountaintop lodge, located within Winter Park Resort, at 10,700 feet, with breathtaking vistas of the Continental Divide and the Rocky Mountains. The Lodge features a 140-seat full-service restaurant for fine dining, as well as “The Provisioner,” a 226-seat food marketplace. An additional 270 people are accommodated at the exterior barbecue deck.
The architectural theme for Sunspot is reminiscent of early ski lodges - evoking fond memories of skiing’s “good old days” of roaring hearths and warm camaraderie. The rustic character was achieved through the use of log columns, beams and trusses, cedar siding, and natural stone. Log trusses over the dining areas allow for expansive windows which provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The lounge and lobby are highlighted by a large stone fireplace.
