Located on the Pacific coast of northern Costa Rica, Peninsula Papagayo is a high-end international resort community. With over 5,000 acres of land, Peninsula Papagayo features secluded beaches, golf, rain forest preserves, exclusive hotels, residential lots, and a marina with an adjacent hillside village.
The Four Seasons Hotel on the tip of the peninsula enjoys world acclaim with beaches on both sides and dramatic views of the coastal cliffs. The architecture reflects the influences of the tropical climate and the Pre-Columbian culture and artifacts of the area.
Zehren and Associates was instrumental in the planning and design of the resort, with a role in both the master planning and architectural design. Specific design work by Zehren included overall resort visioning, land use planning, design of the Marina Village, and authoring of the Design Guidelines for the resort community.
