This Private Residence is a 6,200-SF home in Spruce Peak (Stowe), Vermont. The residence occupies two combined lots and is situated slopeside at the resort, mere feet away from the top of the chairlift. The residence includes truly expansive views to Mount Mansfield as well as down-valley views toward the Town of Stowe. The design features a large great room with traditional Vermont timber trusses and a 20-foot ceiling, gourmet kitchen, four large bedrooms, a bunk room, an oversized playroom, ski room, wine display, custom copper-screened terrace, circular stair tower with an “observatory level,” and a remote office/ den. The home includes sustainable features such as interior daylighting and control, motorized skylights, radiant heat, super insulated roof and walls, and some LED lighting. The home is designed with three fireplaces, an outdoor barbeque grill, and exposed copper roofs over the master bedroom deck and screened room so that rainfall can be heard during inclement weather. The residence also makes use of extensive landscaping at the exterior, including a custom “grotto” hot tub and a large water feature on the south side of the property.
