Blackhorse at Cordillera is a 40-unit residential enclave that surrounds Cordillera’s premier golf course, the Jack Nicklaus-designed Summit Course. With four prototypes ranging from 3500 SF to 5400 SF, this golf community offers a full range of floor plans, optional layouts, and amenities, all with spectacular views of Castle Peak, the Gore Range, and the New York Mountains.
The architecture of the Blackhorse homes reflects the alpine location of the site, with south-facing porches, robust rafters and wood beams, and crafted materials such as copper, hewn wood, cedar shingle siding, and native Colorado stone. This image was outlined in The Summit at Cordillera Design Guidelines, which were authored by Zehren and Associates. The homes also feature interior wood ceiling beams, open living spaces, and expansive outdoor decks. The first phase of the Blackhorse residences was constructed above The Summit Golf Clubhouse, which was designed by Zehren.
