The vision of Old Greenwood is one of an active, year-round resort village built with care and sensitivity through architecture and landscape that reflects the Lake Tahoe heritage and blends into the natural setting.
The Old Greenwood Townhomes compose a small community within the resort and are comprised of five related but distinct building types. Designed in concert with the other buildings in the neighborhood, this group of residences acts as part of the larger community while delicately stepping its massing so the building forms “nestle” into the surrounding landscape of sage and Jeffrey Pine. All the townhomes are located in close proximity to the Pool and Fitness Facility as well as the Golf Club and Pro Shop, which were also designed by Zehren and Associates.
Each of the 42 buildings is composed of two-bedroom units, three-bedroom units, or lock-off units which all work together to create independent front porches off of intimate entry courts. The interiors are oriented away from the street, focusing the occupant on the surrounding Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and the natural beauty that the Tahoe Region has to offer. Each residence ranges from 1,285 SF to 1,745 SF net, with a majority of the space devoted to large, vaulted living rooms characterized by ample glass to allow natural light and views to the splendid pines.
Zehren and Associates also designed The Villas, which are larger versions of the Townhomes with higher-end exterior and interior finishes. The Villas reside on the driving range and are whole-ownership versions of the fractional Townhomes.
